If you’ve not yet tried out Zachtronics Industries’ gem of a puzzler SpaceChem, now is the excellent time to do so. Currently on sale for 50% ($14.99 $7.49) on both the game’s site and Steam, SpaceChem has kept me awake for what is certainly an unhealthy length of time: Increasingly difficult, consistently rewarding, I continue to be amazed by the simple-yet-ingenious mechanics of this highly addictive game.

Check out the trailer above, grab the demo, and if you like what you see, be sure to grab it while it’s cheap!

This was the final straw for me, IJust had to buy it. I can't wait to get home to play it…

    You're an idiot.

I'm I stupid or is this game reallllllly hard to understand. I'm not even sure what the goal is. The tutorial is pretty short too. I don't think I've ever wished for a longer tutorial.

I almost abandoned at the second level for this reason too :)
The goal is to bring things from the left to the right (sometimes after having combined them). I would advise you do a looping path for both colors, so that the “transporters” don't get stuck. Then you can see more easily what's happening, and tweak.

I don't see this being very replayable, but I might actually get this. $7.50 is about the price of a movie ticket. And most movies these days are 90 minutes. Does this give more enjoyment than 90 minutes? Yes. Very yes.

I find it amusing how this is filed under “Casual”. This, good sir, is not “casual” in any way, not even remotely. :>

I was anticipating someone bitching about me posting a “stupid puzzle game.” I myself snickered as I categorized this as “casual.” If I've tricked anyone into buying this for casual play, I'm not sure if I should feel sorry or not.

    Jealous? >:D

Totally incredible game. I've fallen down the rabbit hole.

I think the ResearchNet level editor adds a bit of replayability. Really though, if you manage to beat the main campaign at all you're doing better than me.
