When was the last time someone put a difficult puzzle like this into a platformer?

That genuine unadultered nerd happiness moment won me over
hot water burn baby hot water burn baby
Also, I’d love to hear this guy play n.
Oh my god please, make him stop talking, please!
It’s about 5:48am and I’m watching this and calling this guy a nerd…hmmm what am I?
Anyway, I have to agree with nukem, the nerd happiness was too funny as I burst out into laughter waking up half my house. That was funny as heck.
I somehow find this guy very charming.
Well, maybe endearing is a more accurate word.
He is quite funny to listen to actually, but I would not wanna hang out with him :/
I just love that maniacal laugh.
Favorite spastic comment: ‘AUGhhgh! I’m freakin’ out already!’ I’m so accustomed to saving anywhere in modern games that I’ve completely lost track of that feeling. It’s somewhere deep inside the folds of my brain shacked up with the pleasure derived from the scent of a new audio cassette.
You think THAT puzzle is sadistic? Check out the latest few chapters of his epic Let’s Play - from #67 onwards.

Just getting to the Hell Temple is the stuff of gaming nightmare. Once you’re past there, it’s a long series of possibly the most brutal and uncompromising platforming ever devised.
oh. god. had to frickin’ mute it. worst. voice. ever.
ha, I quite liked listening to the guy, reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite. “I’m cuckoo for coco pops”
Even if you hate the dude, you should listen to the last ones in hell temple, if you hate him you watch him go into almost a nervous breakdown. If you like him you can watch him do the most impossible things ever.
I’ve caught up to his recordings… Thanks tigsource and DeceasedCrab, for wasting more that 10 hours of my life. :D
His voice is perfect for something like this. And I am being dead serious here.
If someone can contact him, I need a guy to field maniacal laughter requests, and he has the voice to do it.
His laughing scared the hell out of me. It was very creepy. But I guess you have to be a crazy Jap if you want to beat La Mulana or at least act like a crazy Jap if you want to beat it. This so called puzzle was certainly frustrating and unfair. I think I didn’t even fully understand it. You had to wait 3 minutes for some box to appear or what exactly? I was wondering: Is there already a patch that translates La Mulana to English? I still have a Japanese version and never came far because I didn’t understand jackshit.
Obsucre? That a glucose product?
You can actually get up to that platform even if you kill the blue flying thing. It’s just much, much harder. Because you have to deliberately get hit by one of the shooty monsters that replaces him at just the right angle that you get knocked onto the ledge. And then you have to do it again if you fall off.
This was about the point where I finally stopped playing the game.
What? Once the block managed to appear it didn’t look that hard.
This guy would crack if he ever tried to beat Lode Runner. We’ve had a very frustrating week playing through Battle Lode Runner’s puzzle mode….
