I think this is the seventh Ikiki game that’s been posted, but who can tell? I won’t rest until I’ve played them all!

Teppoman is a simple run and gun platformer. Visually it’s very similar to Nikujin in that no one likes to wear shirts or pants. (I wonder what it feels like to wield a gun without pants on? It probably feels pretty good.) The game itself is very straightforward: shoot at everything that isn’t completely naked, and take their gun. Rescue the naked men who are bound in rope.

It’s much more forgiving than either Nikujin or Hakaiman in terms of the difficulty.

Controls in the extended:

Left / Right – Move

Down – Action (Pick Up Gun, Free Hostage, Open Box, Exit Level)

Shift – Jump

Control – Punch / Shoot

J – Suicide

Derek, I have two words for you my friend:

Powder burns.

I’ll definitely take that as a compliment. I love Ikiki’s games, and it’d be interesting to see a different take on his game style.

No, I didn’t! I’ll definitely try that.

I was thinking of making a Teppoman/don-esque tribute game. It’d be great fun for me to reimagine Ikiki’s world in my own style. Everything about his games are so simple, but he has such a distinctive style. Reminds me of you, actually!

Did you get to the extra levels after the boss? I think you need to free all the hostages and complete the game without using any continues, and you’ll get a few more levels play. Might be the same in Teppodon, don’t remember.

Also, I just love the idea of this game. You are a naked guy who runs around killing other naked guys, and in the end you find a big stash of bananas. Feels like there’s some hidden homo erotic tendencies there :P
