igf 2008

Running IGF must be no easy task, especially when you’re also updating GameSetWatch multiple times a day. It’s good to hear that superdudes Matthew Wegner and Steve Swink are directing this year’s festival (with Simon still as Chairman). And the 2008 site’s just gone live, so check it out!

Other changes to the festival, after the jump (via Matt):

Mod Competition

This year there won’t be separate mod competition. However, the student competition will accept student mod projects and has been expanded to 12 student showcase finalists.

Costs

Entry fees are the same as last year—$95 for the main competition, and free for the student competition. Note that a student project can enter both competitions simultaneously (but the $95 main competition still applies).

Hmm, wonder why no mod competition? You’d think as time went on that mods would get more important, not less…
