Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness

Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness is hitting online stores on May 21st, and to juice you up for the release the PA guys are doing a countdown, and releasing a page of a comic each day. If you’re interested, take a look at this very positive hands-on preview by Chris Kohler at Game|Life. The game’s also gotten some very mixed reviews by the mainstream press, according to Gabe.

Precipice will be the first game released via Penny Arcade/Hothead Studios’ new indie game website, Greenhouse. It will be released for Windows, Mac, and Linux simultaneously.

    this looks rad, then there’ll be a Mac version? gotta watch it.

    Hopefully the game is better than the comic…

  • Shih Tzu

    Hopefully the game is as great as a good PA comic and not as wince-inducing as a bad PA comic.

    This game *has* to be good. There’s a bit of Ron Gilbert inside it you know…

    @gnome:
    There’s a bit of Ron Gilbert inside all of us.

    I’m also looking forward to this! Yay!

    A cunning observation indeed oh fydo!

  • Nillo

    From what I’ve seen, it looks really great. I think there’s a good chance that the game’ll become a classic in its own right.

    Why is combat so slow and simplistic? Seems like it should be one OR the other.

  • Nillo

    I can count several very good games that are both slow and simple. Paper Mario: TTYD, for example, I enjoyed immensely.
