i had idealistic visions of him looking like some muscular action movie hero but he just looks like some normal guy

This does look great, and I've already signed up as a backer. I just with I could afford the $60 option, so I could get the wind-up creeper.

I saw it and it's an awesome documentary, I hope they get the money to fund the full film.

Why don't they use the Notch Fund to fund it?

Notch seems like a super cool guy. Now I'm bummed I didn't say hello to him when I had the chance at GDC.

hey, just be glad you didn't do what I did: drunkenly say “hi Notch!” to Terry Cavanaugh!! Luckily he's a really nice guy and didn't hold it against me. I guess since I prefer VVVVVV to Minecraft anyway it all worked out in the end, but still…. soooo embarrassing :(

what the fuck minecraft. it's an okay sandbox game but that's pretty much it. Have barely played it and almost nothing recently. But I'm not going to talk trash about the game.

It's all the people out there that bugs me. First going on how notch deserves all the support and our money and it's indie so we give our money to something good. That doesn't make sense.
The game has made him filthy rich. He makes more money then anyone in the fucking bussiness and what difference does it make if it's indie? He makes more money then entire game development teams on hundreds of people. Why would he need my money so bad?

Second is how everyone seems so fucking offensive with how only creative people play minecraft and how everyone who doesn't play minecraft is a cod faget. yes okay you can make a huge rollercoaster or a castle in the clouds. you can build anything with blocks. so what? There is still limitations, like you can't build a vechicle or your own npc. In the end it's not so creative. The game is so fucking linear. And whoever says they are creative because they build shit in minecraft can kindly shut up. Make your own fucking game, write a book or compose a musical piece.

Then if it wouldn't be enough people see notch like some kind of god. I understand how 9 year olds find him an idol and have nothing better to go at. He didn't cure cancer! He made a game that became popular. eeeh fuck it.

Hey, don't worry about it. I once went on a rant about the many flaws in the VVVVVV demo (I have played the full game, but it was much better), and about five minutes later the guy across the table introduced himself as Terry.

To your first point, think the first type of person mainly exists because people don't like to do math and figure out how much money he's actually made.

Personally, I don't really like the single player game that much. The game gets kind of boring and takes up a lot of time. Its when you play on a multiplayer server with your friends that Minecraft really shines.

    butthurt much?

You're so cool. It's so cool to dislike stuff that's popular simply because it's popular. I bet your taste in music is so underground even you don't know about the stuff you like. Man that's cool.

Linear? are you retarded? how is it linear, its so nonlinear you need to learn how to play the game before you can appreciate what the game offers
