The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle

Wolfire Games has teamed up with Frozenbyte to put out the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle, which features three of Frozenbyte’s games: Trine, Shadowgrounds, and Shadowgrounds: Survivor. As bonuses, it also includes Jack Claw, an unreleased prototype, and the upcoming Splot, which you get as a preorder. As with the previous bundles, it’s pay-what-you-want, the games are DRM-free, and you can choose to give as much of your payment to charity as you like.

After the jump I’ve included the Overgrowth Alpha 125 video and the latest trailer of Trine 2:

Christ, it's already at $164,000! With only one developer this time, Frozenbyte is going to cash in big time!

  • ZereoX

This is a great thing for the Indie Community and an even bigger thing for Frozenbyte. At this point if everyone choose “Default Split”, they racked-up ~120K (Net-Revenue)

  • Funkycaribou

Wish I could find Mac system requirements for these. Not even sure if they're compatible, except for Trine. Trine 2 looks so good.

Bought the bundle – Trine is amazing. : )

trine ios great! what about the other titles? never heard about them…. ?

Shadowgrounds + survivor are mindless 'twin stick' shooters. They arent the greatest of their kind (can be a bit slow paced at times) but they are fun and do have their moments.

Trine 2 looks absolutely gorgeous!!! The developers have so much imagination, I am really excited to play this!

  • DragonSix

While I imagine that only one dev doing it makes it easy to do again quickly, it seems to kinda miss the point of the initial bundles.
Trine would have definitely make the cut for a true humble bundle, but the other games? Not so sure.

This is really a great opportunity for Frozenbyte, that is for sure.

  • Xdiesp

Have they ever added online multiplayer to Trine? Because that completely ruined it for me.

  • MisterX

They haven't and won't, but Trine 2 will prominently feature online co-op from the beginning!

  • Tiganon

    Worth it for Trine alone.

The other games work fine for me on my MacBook Air (fully upgraded 13″ model).

  • Mister Giff

Great review of this bundle here:

None of them works for me, except for trine… the rest crashes to desktop when I run them, I think it's because the physx installer only had a cancel button on it and a “Text here” label and I was unable to install it.

Wonder if that was Notch who input “Now what, Garry?” on the top contributors list. These guys might have got an extra $4000.03 from petty competitiveness.

It seems like it's Notch. And their rivalry is now up to $10,000 in total. Pretty awesome.
