First Teaser of Prison Architect Sneaks Out

As part of their ongoing “treasure hunt,” indie studio Introversion Software has given us a brief-yet-tantalizing teaser of their IGF entry and upcoming release, Prison Architect.

One thing I’m really loving is the art style, which is a colorful departure from the studio’s prior titles’ retro wire-frame feel. As a fan of both Introversion’s previous releases and the Dwarf Fortress-esque vibe of community management I get from this teaser, I’m eagerly looking forward to more footage and information as it’s passed to us through the bars.

Yes! This looks great. My first impression was sad that there wasn’t multiple levels/floors like proper prisons.. But then we’d probably have to suffer the same clunky up/down mechanics of Dwarf Fortress (Which I love).

Hopefully there’ll be enough interesting events and requirements to keep it busy and interesting.

Can’t wait.

Bit bummed that they didn’t do something using the same art -style as in the Subversion trailers though perhaps that’d end up playing a bit similar to “Frozen Synapse”. Bring on “Prisoner: The MMO” with real players & the developers play the guards. Eh eh.
