Super Obliteration Remake

Yeah, wow. It’s totally like Pang/Buster Bros, but you can shoot in multiple directions. Is this “Super Obliteration” actually an existing game, or is this an iterative improvement to Pang?

It is a remake of an Amiga game of the same name from 1993. I used to love it (and Pang of course) so I’m making a PC version.

It’s great fun. Used to love Pang myself but am enjoying this more. I like being able to shoot at angles too.

Certainly isn’t a waste of time. Most fun I’ve had from an indie game in the last month or so.

The original was great, this remake is great. Just forget the idiots that didn’t even know there was an original, they are 14 and were brought up on a diet of FPS’s and MMO’s. Sucks to have missed the blossoming glory days of computer gaming.

Its 100% accurate to the original which cuts out the middleman of having to mess around with emulators (have you tried to set up winuae? after trying that i reckon im ready to fly a shuttle for nasa.) The graphics stick to the original feel very well, im sure if someone stepped up and offered their services to update the gfx caff would be more than pleased to obliged. the sound = perfect (and thats because im biased :p)

gameplay… yes its pang but back then it was FREE pang… free pang with turri.. can (could have been its sale pitch that). and for its simplicity was a much lauded game by amiga power (and mainly stuart campbell who seemed to want to marry it) and its not lost its charm now, except for them flying invincible blue things… gah!.
