A contest is only as good as it’s entries. This is especially true when considering the number of gems from the periodically held Ludum Dare, Shmup-Dev contests and Toronto Indie Game Jam competition.
What’s that last one again, I hear you ask. Known as TOJam, participants of this extreme coding exercise are required to create a game in three days. Many have attempted, few have succeeded.
One standout entry was Bubble Thing, the creation of Jonathan Mak of Queasy Games. Much like Every Extend, chains and combos are the order of the day. The bluish object which you control can shoot out air to inflate bubbles, which pops when pumped rapidly.
Bubbles which bursts will also release poppers, useful for creating chains and scoring major points. Play to the beat of the music and enjoy.
