Metalheads

This article
details how a few students have created "Metalheads", a neat indie
game that was built for the DS, despite the fact that there is no DS hardware
available – they mimick it using a tablet instead. There’s no demo available
(dang! It actually uses the touchscreen better than a slew of most games, from
what I read), but hey, maybe the people at Nintendo will take note!

It’s kinda weird that they claim there is no DS hardware available, when you can see so many homebrew projects in the works using various DS hardware addons (like supercards and such). I applaud the effort, and the game definatly looks interesting, but I don’t think they should need nintendo’s help to make it run on DS if that is really what they are aiming for.

Too bad they didn’t release a demo. =(
