Zombie Smash

Zombie Smash is an action-game-in-the-making by Eric Vaughn, a guy who is notorious for starting awesome projects and never finishing them. So yeah, to say I’m skeptical about this one would be an understatement. But oh! If he did finish it, that’d be great, because he’s a superb pixel artist and his stuff that I’ve managed to play has been really fun.

I’ll add him to the active development list and see if maybe that won’t help him finish this one.

Are there any other good Halloweenie-type games worth mentioning right now?

  • Dan MacDonald

That has some really nice looking pixel art, i hope he finishes.

Wow!!! Eric Vaughn…I never knew he was still on the scene. I miss Disco Dan and his chunky pixel works? I remember this game, glad he’s taking charge and hopefully we will see Zombie Smash before he looses either interest or the code :P

excuse the question mark…I should reread my comments before i submit >_>

    No.

I remember when Eric posted for help on pixel joint. I would have liked to have applied had I not been busy with uni. The game looks like it’s coming along great!

That zombie wasn’t drawn by Eric Vaughn, though. I’ve been chatting with him a fair bit about it and the zombie was drawn by the artist who’s working with him on the project (whose name I’ve disgracefully forgotten), Eric’s doing the tiles however. The mockups he’s shown me look very nice indeed and I hope he gets it finished, but it *is* a big project. That said, he’s been fixated on it for an age so I have a good feeling about it.

Fingers crossed – this is looking really special!

DrDerekDoctors is right, I did not draw that zombie sprite. That is the work of one Mason Bond, who is an excellent artist (and he’s not doing it for free either).

Most of my graphical work in the game will consist of the tiles, GUI and other related things, as well as some of the sprites and some of the backgrounds.

I’m actually about to upload a new and updated version of the site. Check back in a few hours to see if it is there.

    HOT LOOK!

Take my key card and go.

You know, I think Indie games have finally *made* it. That ZombieSmash blog is so wierd and emo that it reminds me exactly of the indie music scene. That is the type of attitude required for mainstream (and by mainstream I mean angst filled youth) America (and Australia) to pay attention to.

Yes! Dried cat vomit for the win! ;)
