Nickspoon’s GP2X Crap Games Competition

Run, Hitler, Run!

The winner of this competition to make the crappiest game for the Korean open-source handheld GP2X was NOT the game depicted in this screenshot (Run, Hitler, Run!), but studies show that including a picture of Hitler on your website automatically increases the traffic by 0.001%, and quite frankly, that’s enough for me.

The way Hitler looks in the screenshot really reminds me of a Boris Artzybasheff painting!

Hey great to see these news here :)

I`m a frequent visitor of this site, and own a GP2X since it came out (and a GP32 before that). I`m also developing for the handheld, it`s really fun!

I`m currently remaking TONYPAs Ununicum for it :D

Well, the winning game would have had Bush, Saddam AND Paris Hilton in the same screenshot! I’d say that’s almost better than Hitler. I have to admit, though, that this Hitler is a particularly charming one.

Beating a Hitler-Game in Crapiness is a pretty hard task!

my dream handheld game is some sort of ragdoll kung fu with stickmen and controlled by the stylus (for PalmOS, damn these good developers who only developp for pocket PCs)

I wish I knew about this contest before. All I’d have to do is make GP32X game and I would have cleaned up easily.

its clever how Hitler’s arms and legs form a swastika in that screenshot!

    You know why Hitler’s running…

…he didn’t pay for his tea at the cafe.

Disclaimer : I am the author of Run Hitler, Run!

Thanks a lot for the comments about my game. That’s pretty funny to see people caring about the least details of my game and mainly the sprites when at first they were almost all placeholders for an extremely early build of a vapourware nazi game and thus I hardly even paid attention to what I was doing.

I get the feeling that I’m getting a taste of what Pablo Picasso must have felt when his random utter crap started selling. If only I could mix that taste up with the taste of a toffee crisp.. :-/
