Videos of the Independent Games Summit are starting to go up! Here’s a postmortem from Gastronaut Studios, the creators of Small Arms, which, contrary to my belief, is not a game about Tyrannosaurus Rexes trying to slap each other.

“The creators of Xbox 360 Live Arcade stand-out title Small Arms, previous veterans of XBLA from their work with Fuzzee Fever on the original Xbox Live Arcade, talk about what went right and what wrong during the development of the frenetic multiplayer shooter, giving plenty of insight into developing indie games on console.”

man i would play that T-Rex game too, for reals.

I attended this talk at GDC, enjoyed it. There’s a lot of good insight into console development in it too.

I think I fell prey to one of the problems they identified. I found the controls to small arms too unintuitive for me. I like their indie playtesting model.. buy some beer and have friends over. Totally going to do that :)

The T-rex idea actually sounds like a pysics based small fighting game. Not to metion and awesome one at that.

I would totally be onto that T-Rex game but only after I’ve heard what Shakespeare had to say on the matter.

Hmmm, physics-based Primal Rage? We may be on to something here…

  • Ilia Chentsov

Physics-based Primal Rage? Like, playing Trespasser as the raptor?
