Death Worm Two Player Mod

Do I need to say much about Grassman7z7’s two player mod for Death Worm to convince you that it’s awesome? Worm one is controlled with the arrow keys, and worm two with WASD. There’s also an added “sonar mode” option which allows you to detect movement above ground. The game ends when BOTH worms are killed, and the cumulative score is ranked.

One thing I wish they’d show was how much meat each worm had separately consumed, and perhaps rank those separately. It’d add some fun competition to the whole thing. But otherwise, this is great fun, even with one player controlling both worms! “NOM NOM NOM!”

EDIT: By the way, the mod is a stand-alone executable that does not require the original to play. And you still have the option to play with just a single worm (LOL).

I played this sometime ago but I was dissapointed that you couldn’t compete against a 2nd player and whoever had the highest score at the end would win.

It was begging to be made but I think it could be developed some more.

Is it fair that the green worm isn’t on-screen?

Also, the red worm seems to “fly” above ground quite a lot! I don’t remember being able to make mine do that :O

Yeah, the flying is just a bug, though I can’t replicate it.

The game has cheats. The “flying” was one of them. It’s actually a low-gravity cheat. Here’s what I know of from v1.04:

Cheats: (Press Insert first.)
*Invincibility: “dhole”
*Low Gravity: “space”
*Change Size with -/+: “grow”
More Retroish Skin: “namcap”

Cheats marked with * will empty your score when the worm finally dies.

If you can’t guess what “namcap” does, it let’s you wakka-wakka your enemies as though they were yellow dots :P.

Of course, all of this could have changed from previous versions, so bear that in mind.

The physics are completely broken in this game. In a good way. Flying like that just takes a bit of practice! O:
