Hey, guys! It’s been a tumultuous couple of weeks for the TIGSource front page. Basically, Jeff Lindsay and Timothy Fitz upgraded us to the latest version of Typo, it couldn’t handle our load, and so the site was slow at best, unresponsive at worst. Typo’s never been that good to us, though, so I figured this was as good a time as any to switch to WordPress. That switch is now finished!
Many thanks and kow tows to Matthew Wegner (Blurst), who shouldered the Atlas-like burden of migrating the site to WordPress and converting all of our comments to Disqus. We have 1,800 posts and 40,000 comments and they all made it over unscathed (well, minus maybe a few comments on the tail end). Matthew is also hosting the site now. He’s done a great job hosting TIGForums the past couple of years, so I feel pretty comfortable putting the front page in his strong-but-tender arms as well.
Also, thanks to Jeff and Tim, who have faithfully hosted the site and kept it running all these years. Jeff saved the site back in the day when he offered to host. These guys both co-created TIGdb with me, too.
Anyway, thanks for being patient. We’re a bit behind and the site still looks kinda wonky, but hey, at least we’re stable! More better things to come.
