Rocket-construction and space-exploration game Kerbal Space Program celebrated its two-year anniversary tonight, and version 0.18 has just launched.

Kerbal Space Program 0.18

The jump to 0.18 is the largest update KSP has seen and brings with it many new additions, including new resource and flight-planning systems, new parts like solar panels and unmanned probes, the ability to dock ships together, two new celestial bodies to explore, and more.

On a two-year anniversary stream, the team behind KSP also unveiled Kerbal SpacePort a new community hub for the sharing of user-created content. Future development plans were discussed as well, including aspects like weather, resource-mining, and rover creation.

I was going to buy it, but they increased the price from 18 to 23 dollars

great game. and the update brings great features. played for 30 minutes and got 2 satellites in a stable circular orbit.

Had the same problem, then downloaded the new updater from the store. Worked like a charm.

Funnily enough every time I’ve had to use the updater I had to update the updater. Not quite sure they build those things to last…

  • Should have bought it when it was still 15. It’s only going to go up the more content it gets. And it’s going to get a LOT more content. Back when I bought it there wasn’t even a single other astrological body. All you could do was go into orbit. And it was still a blast. Now there’s tons more to build and do.

  • …astronomical. Not Astrological.

  • Got a fully functioning satellite in orbit, then promptly slammed it into Kerbin for shits and giggles.

    Worth it.
