notknytt

I really enjoyed Knytt, so it was nice to hear that Nifflas is working on another platformer! Even though it’s, er, not a sequel to Knytt, it seems to have a very similar vibe. Which isn’t a bad thing!

    Sweet.

  • Radix

I liked the vibe. Hope he remembers the gameplay this time.

  • haowan

You didn’t just imply that Knytt has no gameplay did you?

  • Sergenth

haowan, have not you heard? It’s not a game unless it has collectable power-ups, exp. points and multiple endings!!!

Futhermore, it’s not a true gaming “experience” unless it has rumble, force-feedback steering and 7.1 surround sound!

    Oh, and 3-d glasses! Woo!

  • BenH

I liked Knytt for what it was. I knew it wasn’t going to have enemies or any kind of real challenge to it. It was just really enjoyable to see all the different environments Nifflas was able to conjure up. Had a really nice atmosphere to it!

  • Radix

The ambience system and design was good. I’d just like to see it applied to something more than a level engine.

However, I respect that if you had to drop your expectations to enjoy Knytt you might not be ready to raise them again. That’s fine. I just personally hope it lives up to its working title, since I enjoy games that are not Knytt.

Knytt was a cool game, he experimented with a different style of gameplay, and I really liked it. But I hope this game is more challenging…
The artwork is really beautiful. I want to PLAY IT NOW!!!!

Radix, having trouble coming up with an intelligent argument is no excuse for name calling.

wait is radix fan talking to radix or me?

  • Derek

In the strange, strange world of TIGSource’s frontpage, when you’re “someone’s fan” that means you hate them. So I think he was talking to Radix. :)

    God! This can’t be true!
My favorite and less configuration-requiring casual game is having a not-sequel! :D

    LIFE IS SO GREAT!

    Now 10tons PLEASE release Crimsonland2 …

    what have I done…

Add a Jetpack, a Gun, a Magic Boomerang, a Bomb Weapon, a Supporting Cast that gets killed off one by one by the Villain’s Mysterious Henchman, a Heated Battle in the Final Fortress with the EndBoss who goes through Multiple Forms before dying (each one increasing in Size and number of Rockets Shot), and you have something pleasingly indistinguishable from the very finest of Metriod ripoffs that the freeware world has to offer.

Nifflas gets mad props for trying to make it a little different.

Like knytt for what it is, but writing snarky sarcastic replies implying it actually had gameplay (Which it didn’t) is just deluding yourself.
