Furry 2

I wanted to make a post that just said “furry balls have come of age,” but I thought better of it.

Dustin Gunn’s Furry 2 is a very typical “Klik”-style platformer (platform game made with Clickteam software), both in its presentation and the way it handles… and also because it features a lot of balls wielding laser guns. Even at the lowest difficulty, the game is pretty punishing. I would only recommend playing this game on “Professional” difficulty if you’re one of the three people who could beat that level in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES where you have to disarm bombs underwater. And those people are all dead because after beating that level they felt so invincible they tried to do things like outrun trains and catch bullets in their teeth.

Sometimes beating really hard video games makes you do silly things like that.

I’m sad now. Furry 2, you made me sad.

Furry balls have come of age. :’(

Awesome! So who are the other two :D

  • Furry 2

    I’m sorry Derek I didn’t mean it

  • Dave

HALP! Where can I download this? The link keeps timing out, as does the download on the Klik-Play site!

  • Zulaf

=) i could be that level on tmnt, im not dead…. sorta.

the site wont load for me either.

  • Lim-Dul

Ha, ha! That entry made me laugh so hard! ^^

  • Zulaf

oops i miss spell words some times meant ” i could beat that level on tmnt”… bleh i need to spell check before i click submit.

  • Awwstin

I could beat that level in TMNT, and I’m still alive. I was just about to go out and catch some semis on the highway with my teeth before I read this post.

  • Quiest

    Any alternative download sites?
    I wanna play!

  • Melly

    This post made my day.

Though it’s odd that the game’s called Furry and I haven’t seen anything ‘furry’ in it so far in the previews and screenshots. I’ll have to play it to see how it relates.

  • andys

is it harder than eternal daughter?

  • Joel

That level wasn’t *that* hard. Never beat the next one though.

  • konjak

    @andys

    Burn on Derek!!

  • Circy

It’s seriously hard and I’m playing it on Childrens Mode, ahaha. Up to the 3rd boss, finished the first part but not the 2nd.

One thing irks me though – in the early levels if you got a Game Over screen and selected YES for “Continue?” then you’d restart that particular stage… but in Level 3 you have to restart the entire world again which is a bit grumpypants.

  • Sandcrab

Yeah level 3 is as far as I ever made in in TMNT, that bomb defusing one really wasn’t so bad. I had a friend who made it to level 5, he seemed to have been pretty traumatized by the experience.

The daily click has the worst server on the internet so this is easier

  • Derek

“is it harder than eternal daughter?”

    Epic burn. :'(

  • Radix

The underground part with the armadillo things was as far as I ever got. I think it’s the second-last level. The monsters there are ruinous.

  • Melly

Got to the second level, and so far I like it. There are some pretty good platforming areas in this game, and things don’t seem to be thrown around at random (especially the underwater parts with the cannons and mines).

I’ll try to finish it when I have more time.

“…if you’re one of the three people who could beat that level in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…”

I heard that one of then went on to beat Battletoads with only a U-force, only to spontaneously turn into pure energy and ascended to a higher plane of existence. Word has it he was also a play-tester on the X-box rendition of Ninja Gaiden, along with Chuck Norris.

TMNT was fantastic at handing your ass to you, and making you like it. Good times.

  • underwhelmed

I was one of those 3 people, and I did in fact actually beat TMNT when I was in the 8th grade or so.

The water level was not that bad once you got the hang of it, and the truth is, the rest of the game only got harder. Now the final boss having an almost undodgeable attack paired up with the fact that only two of your characters even had the reach needed to hit the bastard? That was tough.

  • Siiseli

I beat china on clean asia, good enough? no? sort of thought so.. but it was a personal achievment(sorry can’t spell that)for me.
