And I wasn’t sure if there was a camera powerful enough to capture his true majesty (modesty?). From the Cave Story Wii blog.

This many replies just from a shot of Pixel’s head…from behind.

  • Codemonkey

Cave story isn’t very hard, but then again I haven’t made it to hell yet.

  • Shih Tzu

You stared at the picture for 30 seconds?

  • I Like Cake

He was trying to see the sailboat.

  • alspal

lol, some person makes a decent game and everyone starts arguing.

  • Guy

This makes me sick, I hate this bullshit.

I’m sick of you stupid fanboys.

  • Tyrone

Wow, I never noticed that he blends in with the background. How MGS of him.

  • Guy

Sorry guys I kind of went over the top there I’m sorry I’ve just been going through alot of shit lately…. just bear with me.

  • Derek

    :O …It’s cool, dude!

  • undertech

    Is that Ron Livingston?

  • Guy

Great, somone pretends to be me, I did say the two last comments. Mabye its time to register?

  • Guy

  • Guy

Oh, you can’t register? That has its disadvantages….

  • Quetz

  • Eclipse

@Guy: a lot of “fanboy” comments here are just ironic, you know, tigsource stuff.

  • Guy

Yea, I thought that might be the case.
But I wasn’t sure about it. At least at some of them.

  • Trotim

“You guys need to get over trends and start setting them with your own unique styles and games.”

  • RayRayTea

Hehe I’d like to have that Wii.

  • Manbaby

  • aguy

Looks like it’s a development console, not a reguar Wii. I seriously doubt it’s going to end up in circulation.

  • Dusty Spur

Just for the record guys, being dense doesn’t make you cool.

  • Eclipse

@aguy: yep it is indeed a wii devkit or a debug version… or two wiis glued together D:

  • HandCraftedRadio

Maybe it’s the special edition cave story wii. Balrog shaped.

  • Tyrone

It’s not a dev kit. It’s a production Wii on top of a dev kit.

  • null

His shirt is the same color as the floor. He really knows how to blend in with his surroundings and keep a low profile.

  • sfried

It can’t be a Wii dev kit. Wii devs kits have a green front faceplate.

  • Tyrone

Definitely a RVT-Reader. The green portion is obstructed by Amaya.

  • haowan

Wii dev kits are big and black and look nothing like a Wii. They have NDEV written on the front. Neither of those pictured is a dev kit. The test kits look like Wiis but have a red front plate. Hope that helps.

  • Tyrone

You’re only partially correct There is a unit called the NDEV–that’s for compiling and general use with the Wii SDK. But there are a few versions of the RVT-Readers, the most common being green and red.

  • Tyrone

Hmm, I don’t know what happened to my comment.

Haowan, you’re not entirely correct. There is an NDEV unit, but it’s used mostly for compiling and general use with the Wii SDK. There are a few versions of the Wii debugs which resemble productions units, the most common ones are green or red.

There’s a photo on the blog, if you care to see.

  • haowan

Yeah test kits, debug kits, they look like production Wiis. Dev kits look like big black boxes. I work on Wii for my day job too :)

  • sfried

In that case, when will they release the special black version Wii that they used when they first revealed the console at Tokyo Game Show? The only color they seem to come in is white.
