Paul Robertson: Kings of Power 4 Billion %

Not exactly an indie game, but close enough and awesome enough that I must mention it. Paul Robertson, living legend in the pixel art community and creator of the insanely badass music video “”http://probertson.livejournal.com/18096.html">Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006," has released a trailer for his new movie, called King of Power 4 Billion %. It’s in FULL COLOR.

I heard rumors a while back that he was involved in a game project, too, but I don’t know how true that is.

Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 was the best animation ever. I MUST know what software he uses to pump out those oh so sweet animations. (I know a piece of software doesn’t automatically make animations better, it’s just that doing frame-by-frame animations in say, photoshop/image ready would make me gouge my eyes out with a plastic spoon.

his colors are not as awesome as his black and white, but his animation and editing are still top F-ing notch!!

i’m pretty sure he used to be a sprite artist for a game development company in australia.

anyway, paul’s the king of randomness, so this outta be interesting. and yeh, i do prefer his black and white work over the colored stuff, but it’s still impressive.

Pirate Babyâ€™s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 features the most awesome beat’em-up special attacks ever conceived by man.

If it was a real game, Ninja Turtles would not compare to it.

Just watched Babys Cabana Battle and the part where they are running around inside that building/office reminded me a fair bit of “I’m OK”. Specially the part with the dual Mac 10’s and the shirts sitting at their meeting table.
